The president opened the Special General Meeting and members approved the minutes of last year’s SGM. The healthy-looking audited accounts for year ending 30 June 2015 were presented by outgoing treasurer Martin Eyre and approved by the members. He was thanked for his fine efforts and financial stewardship over a number of years.  It was noted that the club had made charity donations of nearly £20,000 over the last financial year.  The following club officials were appointed for Rotary Year 2016-17:- Secretary John Hare, Treasurer Alan Clarke, Asst Secretary Rob Woodhead. The delegates to Rotary conferences were agreed as the president and secretary, although a deputy for the secretary would be required this year for the District 1220 Conference in Scarborough in October 2015. Members were asked to come forward with nominations to fill the vacancies for future presidential roles in the club. As there was no other business the SGM was closed by the president.

The president then thanked those members involved in the organisation, and those members who had supported, the club’s 93rd Charter Anniversary held at the Ringwood Hall Hotel on Sunday 1 November 2015, which he had thoroughly enjoyed.
