He also welcomed Inner Wheel member Jenny Windle who, with her husband past-president David Windle, were hosting Mrs Barbara Harrison and Mr David Botham who had both been nominated for the club’s Citizen of the Year Award.

Information boards circulated included details of the club’s 93rd Charter Anniversary Luncheon, which is to be held at Ringwood Hall Hotel on Sunday 1 November 2015; and a chance for members to make a donation for the purchase of sweets which will be given out when Santa’s Charity Fund-Raising Sleigh visits local supermarkets in December.

The president read out a letter of thanks from Ashgate Hospicecare for the recent donation made as a result of the Classic Car & Bike Show held at Renishaw Hall in June. He also reported that the latest Rotary magazine for October/November 2015 was now available for members to take away.
